#19 – Dream Theater – A Dramatic Turn Of Events

I wondered if Dream Theater would be able to survive after the departure of founding member and true backbone of the band, drummer Mike Portnoy. The answer is a resounding yes, they have found new life from Mike Mangini. A Dramatic Turn of Events is a return to their more standard arrangement songs that made them popular back in the 90’s. The Grammy nominated On The Backs Of Angles is without a doubt their best song ever recorded. While the songs shine on their own its the production and engineering of the album stands above everything.
