Before hearing this album I kind of knew the name of Butch Walker but I didn’t realize his extensive credit list. Rightfully considered one of the greatest songwriters and producers of the last 20 years Butch and produced and written songs with Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Train, Bowling For Soup. The list just goes on and on. I never even realized he had a career doing his own stuff too. I honestly saw this in a new music list and sampled a few songs thinking I might like it.
This is a concept album with Butch playing an alter ego named Glenn playing a set on a rainy Monday night at the local bar. What it sounds like is Billie Joel, Elton John, Jackson Browne or even Bob Seger all mashed up into one incredible singer/songwriter. Great concept, great songs, I love it.
