One day in late September I was mindlessly flipping through TikTok when I came across a girl riding a bike eating some Little Caesars pizza and singing along to a gem of a song. That’s just so fucking midwestern and I was drawn in quickly. When I realized @sincereengineer was a band and this was a clip from their video for the lead track Trust Me I immediately got the album and started listening. I think I listened to it on repeat about 4 times driving around in my car that day.
Deanna Belos’ vocals and lyrics are incredibly compelling to me. I would say this is one of the best female fronted punk rock albums I’ve heard in recent years.
