Wolfgang Van Halen proves his worthiness and talent on this debut solo album. Wolfgang is the son of the late great Eddie Van Halen and one time Van Halen bassist who replaced the original Michael Anthony. It was seen by many that Wolf was not worthy of the position and was only given it because of who he is. It is true that Wolf has been afforded more opportunities simply because of who he is but he damn well proves his worth in those positions every single time.
This album is a true solo record, Wolf plays every instrument and sings all the vocals. One listen and you will understand the tremendous amount of talent the kid has. Older Van Halen fans have criticized him for not sounding like Van Halen on his solo record. Let us remember the guy is 30 years old, he grew up listening to Alice In Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Jimmy Eat World and Tool. This album completely reflects those influences as it should.
