#15 – My Favorite Albums Of 2014

Billy Idol – Kings & Queens Of The Underground

Producer – Trevor Horn, Greg Kurstin

Here is how this one went… Browsing iTunes back in October I noticed Billy Idol had a new album and said to myself “new Billy Idol, I guess I will have to give it a listen.” I honestly didn’t expect it to do much for me. After one listen I was blown away.

The 80’s hit making machine of Idol and long time guitarist Steve Stevens is every bit as relevant still today. The lead single “Can’t Break Me Down” is as good as any arena rock anthems of yesterday or today. Title track “Kings and Queens of the Underground” serves as an epic overture to Billy’s recently released autobiography.

The rest of the album shines with a great mixture of driving rockers and inspiring ballads that will leave you in awe.
