My Favorite Albums Of 2011
#9 – Blink 182 – Neighborhoods
Gone are the days of overproduced pop punk. What we are left with is an amazing self produced comeback album by the genre pioneers Blink 182. Travis Barker has to be the most underrated drummer in rock music. His extremely intricate and original drum patterns really set this album off. Dueling vocals by Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus are littered with great hooks. The first few singles off this album (Up All Night, Wishing Well, After Midnight) are some of the best ever produced by the band. Although this album was recorded by the band separately in their own respective home studios there is an dedicated cohesiveness sound to it.
